Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Renewal Course

The ACLS Renewal Course builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS) skills and focuses on the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.

This advanced course is designed for experienced critical care providers and emphasizes:

• High-quality CPR and continuous resuscitation performance
• Team dynamics and effective communication
• Systems of care and clinical decision-making
• Immediate post–cardiac arrest care
• Airway management and ACLS pharmacology

Pre-Course Requirement

This one-day renewal course requires completion of all assigned online pre-course work prior to attending the scheduled class.

Participants should come prepared, as this course is intended for providers with prior ACLS experience and knowledge.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants will receive an American Heart Association eCard. This electronic certification carries the same validity as a printed card.
